‘It’s The Circle Of Life’

From singing the circle of life to re-enacting the iconic Rafiki scene many await for the 2019 release of a childhood favourite ‘The Lion King’.

The story follows the journey of Simba a young lion who is next to be the heir of the throne and to be the next ruler of the pride lands in Africa. This news does not settle well with his wicked uncle called Scar, with a yearn to covet the throne he plans to eliminate both Simba and Mufasa by luring them into a stampede of wildebeests, after saving his cub Mufasa is killed. Simba is led to believe that the death of his father was caused because of him and is told to leave the kingdom by Scar. Only to realise in his adulthood that he was not at fault and that his wicked uncle had planned to kill them both to become the new king of the pride lands, Simba returns to the pride lands and takes over his kingship.

The live action Disney remake is set to hit theatres on July 19, 2019. With there still being some time until the release here are top 5 facts of the Film:

  1. The lion king was originally going to be called king of the jungle.
  2. Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella auditioned to play hyenas.
  3. it took three years to create the wildebeests stampede scene.
  4. Rafiki isn’t a baboon, he is a mix between a mandrill and a baboon.
  5. Disney originally planned for Mufasa and Scar not to be related, hence why they look nothing alike.
